I am going to Cancun in July - It's cheaper and emptier than any other time of the year. My friend and I were going to go to Ocean City - cost $1600.00 for the hotel room for 4 nights. Cancun for 7 days/6 nights all inclusive? $1400.00. Don't even want to take the time to figure that out. My husband and I don't vacation together as a rule. I guess opposites do really attract. I love the beach and the heat and he wears shorts in the winter and turns the air conditioning on in April. I tell hub all the time not to make me answer the phone when I have been drinking - I will commit to anything after a few beers. And that's what happened the evening I said "sure, Cancun's fine. I've never been, so we might as well." I think he is a bit upset about the expenditure in hindsight, but I did tell him as he threw me the phone that it wasn't a good idea. Maybe now, if for no other reason than monetary, he will listen:-)
