My New Hobby

It has been suggested that blogging would be a great hobby for me since I am not smoking anymore (I got the hint, B.). Perfect! It also might be good since I tend to say things out loud that maybe I shouldn't sometimes.
Why shouldn't fillies run against colts? There is no real difference except their gender. I say that's like suggesting that Fords shouldn't race with Dodges in NASCAR - That women shouldn't be allowed into high stakes poker games with men. It's a ridiculous notion in my opinion.
In stadium jumping mares, stallions and geldings all compete on the same course.
Rachel Alexandra is an insane example of a racehorse male or female and some of the trainers were scared that she was going to beat them - and they were right. Don't use the excuse that she could break down. She is a TANK. I think it's a shame she didn't run in the derby because we really could have seen a Triple Crown winner this year if she had.
I wish I had seen the race...Stupid dumb DishTV - as they went to the post the channel went and when they were posting the payouts the channel came back! DOH!!!!
What else is new, you ask? Still not smoking (as a rule). I went to a wedding last weekend and it was all over after the 4th glass of wine:-) I only had 5 cigarettes the entire evening, but I count that as falling off the wagon for the 1st real time since I QUIT. I was quite entertaining if only to myself. After switching to beer, doing a shot of Jack (which doesn't agree with me) and then going back to wine I was done.
Poor Don. If he went to the wedding with me, he wouldn't have been made to pick my drunk ass up, take me to Stewart's and buy me a pack of cigarettes and a six pack and then put up with me in the car. When I arrived home I decided that I didn't need a cigarette or a beer and perhaps it was just fine if I went to bed instead. Don drank the beer and his friend smoked my cigarettes. I am back on the wagon and doing fine - picking up my 3rd refill of Chantix today as a matter of fact.
Still having the wacky dreams and loving them - they are FUNNY! I wake up every night around 11:30 and can't get back to sleep until 2:30'ish, but Will & Grace reruns are abundant at that time of the night and there are a BUNCH I haven't seen. I don't want to take Lunesta because I am afraid I won't remember my dreams:-)
I am going to attempt to be more diligent and definitely more interesting about blogging - have a great day!

UM, nope, pretty much think you were entertaining to almost the whole crowd...so, did you ever figure out whose phone number that was?

You should have been at our house when the satellite went out. Someone was swearing like a trucker, calling DISH, and cursing out their phone tree... from "you're right you're getting a high volume of calls" to "oh, you better not pick up that phone, you're gonna be sorry if you talk to me"... ahhh, good times!
